MALAYSIA'S favourite twins, Upin and Ipin, will be gracing the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas stage together with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), led by its resident conductor, Naohisa Furusawa (right), on Oct 14 at 2.30pm.
Upin and Ipin appear in the Les' Copaque Productions' 3D-animated series which is a spin-off of the company's debut feature film, Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula.
Upin & Ipin revolves around the five-year-old twin boys, who tell stories of their daily lives with their friends while also learning new things along the way.
The mischievous twins often find themselves getting into trouble, most of the time with their teenage sister, Ros.
In this family-themed concert, the brothers are all set to travel from their idyllic Kampung Durian Runtuh to the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The story, presented by Nell Ng, will be 'told' together with a screening of the animation accompanied by live music by the MPO through songs such as Kompang Dipalu, Terima Kasih Cikgu, Ketipak Ketipung, Luar Biasa, Sahabat Selamanya, Bangau Oh Bangau and some light-hearted classical music.
Also featured are the KL Children's Choir and Permata Seni Koir.
