Three killed in Mexico City tourist square, police chase ‘mariachi’ gunmen

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Gunmen with rifles and pistols killed three people and injured seven more on Friday in a tourist plaza in downtown Mexico City, the city police said, adding they were chasing three men dressed as mariachis that fled on motorbikes.

Mexico City police said in a statement the victims were killed at an intersection on the edge of Plaza Garibaldi, a major tourist destination packed with mariachi bars.
