KUCHING: Nine divisions in Sarawak recorded a generally moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) reading as of 5pm yesterday.
According to the Department of Environment (DoE) website, the highest API reading was at Mukah 85, followed by Sibu (75), Bintulu (70), Samalaju (59), Kuching (59), Kapit (56), Samarahan (54), Sarikei (53), and Sri Aman (53).
API readings from 0 to 50 suggest good air quality while 51 to 100 is considered moderate.
A reading of 101 to 200 is unhealthy, 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 301 and above (dangerous).
