Warisan founding members want former MP to lead Labuan Warisan

LABUAN: More than half of Parti Warisan founding members in the duty-free-island have vowed support for former Labuan MP, Datuk Suhaili Abd Rahman (pix) to lead the party here.

The unanimous support was given to him at a meeting held in a leading hotel here last night.

Founding member John Kulas said the support for Suhaili to lead the party was based on his track record as former Labuan MP and former chairman of the local authority of Labuan Corporation, in administering the island.

“We believe he can unite the multiracial community on the island and voice out the people's needs,” he told Bernama today. — Bernama
