MIRI: Country Grocers, a supermarket driven by upscale merchandise, is set to open a new outlet at Taman Selera Food Court, near Tanjong Lobang beach in mid-June this year.
Its chief executive David Kong in a press statement yesterday said apart from daily necessities, the supermarket offers upscale goods such as biscuits, grains, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, seafood, meat, sauces and more, imported from countries such as Japan and the United Kingdom.
In order to give consumers more choices, the supermarket also works with local original farmers and fresh fish suppliers to lead local high-quality fruits, vegetables, meat, dry food, seafood, fish and shrimp.
“Country Grocers will provide people with one more shopping destination, especially those who love high-end merchandise, thus eliminating the need to go shopping in Kuching or Singapore, saving time and money,” he remarked.
In the supermarket, there are also cake shops, bakeries and a fast food restaurant, providing consumers with a package of consumer services.
Country Grocers is a company with extensive experience in supermarkets. It opened a store at Swan Square in Jalan Ling Kai Cheng in Sibu on May 8.
