Petra Jaya Hospital to be ready in first quarter 2019 – Minister

Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof speaking to reporters.

KUCHING: Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof today expressed confidence that the Petra Jaya Hospital project can be completed by the first quarter of next year.

He said the goal of March 2019 would be achievable if the contractor upholds determination and high level of efficiency.

Fadillah, who is Petra Jaya MP, said even though the hospital project was a little behind time, he has faith in the contractor to deliver the works on time.

On election-related matters, Fadillah said he had fulfilled 99 per cent of his election promises pledged during the 2013 general election.

He said the remaining two projects are the road expansion of Matang Road and the Semariang Water Gate.

He said the ministry is still bidding for fund to expand Matang Road while the water gate in Semariang aims at mitigating flood during rainy season.

Even though these two projects could not be completed within the five-year time frame, he said he would not rest until they are properly implemented.
